Uploading Images to Server

Before you begin, prepare the images on your computer. Make a large copy and an optimized copy that is smaller. If you need a program to optimize the images, contact me. The smaller images should all be the same width, about 100 pixels wide. Use the same image name, and put _small in the small image name. It is easiest if you use all lower case letters, and make the names short -- no more than 8 letters. Keep copies of your images safe in case you have to reload at some point.

Go to the Shop Cart Image Folder on the server.
Note: You have several image folders on the server. It is important to put your images in the correct folder. Use this link to place images in your SHOPPING CART.

When the folder opens you will see a list of all your cart images. Go to bottom of page where it says:
"Send this file (max size 10240K)" "Browse" "Upload"
Select Browse and go to the image on your computer and double click the file name. When the image name is in the small window, click upload.
IMPORTANT: After loading the image do not go to the file manager main menu. Return to this page.
One more step. Go back into the Shop Cart Image Folder and check the name of your file. Some computers rename the file to somehing like web-orginalfilename.jpg -- so just use the "rename" feature and make the file name exactly like it was originally.

Troubleshooting:

If the image does not appear it is probably because the server can't find it so check and double check the name. Go to the folder again and be sure it is named correctly. Then check to be sure you typed the name in the manager correctly. Check the extension. Also, check to be sure your letter cases (upper vs. lower) are correct.

Option Creation Tool

Option Lists are the drop down menus that allow you to offer choices concerning your products. There are several already set up in your site and all you have to do is link directly to them from your "Add A Product Screen". You can use options over and over for many products.

To place an option list next to a product in your shopcart is quite simple. There are two steps.

1. Create the Option File with the "Option Creation Tool"

You can have up to 3 drop down lists for a product.
The Creation Tool has spaces for 9 lines in each of 3 lists. Use as many as you need.
If you want to increase the price for an option, just add the dollar amount to the appropriate square in the tool, otherwise leave this space blank.
Name your file with an .html extension.
You will be able to use this option list over and over for other products.

2. Link to the Option File in your "Add a Product Screen"
Just put the option_filename.html in the box for the options on your Product Manager Screen. If you do not use an option, be sure it says blank.html.
